Nina
Synopsis
A 13-year-old Nina is feeling trapped in her relationship with the bossy Vassil, who is preparing her to be a skilled pickpocket in Spain. There are days when she is almost ready to run away from him.
BIOGRAPHY
Hristo Simeonov is a filmmaker based in Sofia. He is a Berlinale and Sarajevo Talent Campus alumni. His short films are shown at international festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Krakow, Dresden, Cottbus, Molodist, Bilbao, Triest, Thessaloniki, Vienna, Tel Aviv, etc. His debut short film THE SON (2015) won the Main Short Film Prize at Cottbus Film Festival (2016) and Best Bulgarian Short Film at the Bulgarian Film Academy Awards (2016) and other 15 awards.
