Josip Lukic was born in 1984 in Split where he graduated from the Faculty of Economics. Short films in which he has participated as a director and actor have been shown at festivals around the world. Since the autumn of 2015, he has become a student of Film and TV Directing at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Art.
The caretaker is exhausted by everything, his frustrated wife and one totally depressed deer. Their mutual despair leads them to absurd events, because… shit happens all the time.
BIOGRAPHY
Michaela Mihályi (1991, Slovakia) currently studies animation at FAMU in Prague, where she lives as well. She likes to tell stories in various techniques, from the hand-drawn, cut-out to puppet animation. Besides schoolwork, she works as a freelance animator and illustrator. She has a dog called Ela and loves beer and coffee equally.
David Štumpf (1991, Slovakia) finished his BA studies at VŠMU in Bratislava with the film Cowboyland that has been selected for festivals like Annecy, ITFS Stuttgart or Hiroshima Animation festival and it has won several awards home and internationally. The film has been part of the screening program Visegrad New Talents and it has been distributed as a pre-show in cinemas in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic. David is now living in Prague where he studies for an MA degree at FAMU. He also works as a freelance animator, illustrator, and director.

Born in 1998, Gvozden Ilić is a young director from Belgrade, where he currently studies Film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. He has done several short films and documentaries, a commercial for a humanitarian organization „Čep za hendikep“ and a video campaign to raise awareness for responsible drinking. At the moment, he is working on two short films and a music video.

Liene Rubane is a visual artist with a focus on experimental drawing and animation. In recent years her short films have been selected at international film festivals worldwide. In 2018 “IV. Narreturm”, a short film, won the Experimental Video Award in Baja California. Alongside animated films, Liene develops her artistic practice as large scale mixed-media installations.
A 13-year-old Nina is feeling trapped in her relationship with the bossy Vassil, who is preparing her to be a skilled pickpocket in Spain. There are days when she is almost ready to run away from him.

Hristo Simeonov is a filmmaker based in Sofia. He is a Berlinale and Sarajevo Talent Campus alumni. His short films are shown at international festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Krakow, Dresden, Cottbus, Molodist, Bilbao, Triest, Thessaloniki, Vienna, Tel Aviv, etc. His debut short film THE SON (2015) won the Main Short Film Prize at Cottbus Film Festival (2016) and Best Bulgarian Short Film at the Bulgarian Film Academy Awards (2016) and other 15 awards.

Olga Poliektova and Tatiana Poliektova, twin sisters were born in St-Petersburg, Russia. From the early years they began to draw and graduated from the Art School and the University of Cinema and Television in the department of animation and computer graphics. After school, they started to work together as a film director duo and animators.
During these years they made several short animation films that took part in over 300 worldwide festivals and earned over 60 awards. Among the awards are: Giffoni Film Festival and New York Int’l Children’s Film Festival.
Their last film “My Grandfather was a cherry tree” was Oscar-nominated and was selected to the longlist as Best Short Animation Film.
Nowadays they have finished the new film “Listen Papa!”.

Nikita Grushin grew up in Saint-Petersburg, studied at the University of Economics, and graduated from the Saint-Petersburg School of New Cinema.

An astronaut awakens in an abandoned cave on a strange planet. An interstellar vagabond, so to say. A light path leads him to the surface, where he looks at his compass and heads for his spaceship. He keeps glancing back, treading nervously, looking afraid. He has been chased by a creature for a long time, and his only way to break free is to escape this curious planet.

Tamás Rebák is a Hungarian visual storyteller based in Budapest. His previous short Hide nor Hair was selected in the competition programs of many international festivals, and at the 2018 AMIK Short Film Festival, it won first place in the animation category. Obsessed with sadness and melancholy.
Communal painters Zina and Inna carefully paint the graffiti and slogans on the walls of Minsk, leaving colourful rectangles as a result. The artist Zakhar Kudin is inspired by bright figures and decides to copy them to the huge canvases. Passers-by intrigued by Zakhar’s performance are trying to interpret his work and express their opinion, but not only about art. Watching the birth of an artistic phenomenon, the film with irony and love shows contemporary Belarus and raises issues that are relevant not only in this country.

Maksim Shved was born in 1979 in Minsk, Belarus. After graduating from the Law Department of the Belarusian State University, he decided to study film directing. He graduated from the St. Petersburg High School of Directors & Screenwriters in 2013 and the Wajda School, Documentary Programme, in 2016. Now he directs documentary series for television. In his free time he creates and develops social videos.
Through a feminist lens, the filmmakers pay homage to their professor Marija Ujevic Galetovic – one of Croatia’s most important sculptors. Marija’s life story and views are told through a combination of video footage and animation of her feminine sculptures.

Martina Mestrovic (1974) graduated from the Sculpture Department from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1998. She has held several solo and group exhibitions. In 2004, she joined the art collective Kreativni sindikat, working as a 2D and 3D set designer, animator and director. She lives and works in Zagreb. Tanja Vujasinovic (1974) completed an MA in Fine Art studies at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London in 2006 and graduated from the Sculpture Department from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1999. Works with a variety of media including video, sculpture and sound. She participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She lives and works in Zagreb.
